The Southern Cruisers Riding Club is a FREE, family-oriented riding club
that uses email
and the web to communicate.
Our focus is on the enjoyment and fellowship of riding motorcycles, while doing so safely.
We are not an Internet club for motorcycle enthusiasts.

The SCRC is for everyone who enjoys group riding, and our policies are simple:

NO Dues or Fees
NO mandatory meetings
NO obligatory tasks
NO MAJOR commitments

However, we do ask a few things from our members: ALWAYS ride safe,
NEVER give the club a bad name, SUPPORT your club and chapter.
We would like all of our members to participate as much as they would like to, but in order to keep your membership active you must participate in a chapter ride, coffee meeting OR
online forum discussion AT LEAST ONCE EVERY THREE MONTHS.
We don't think it's too much to ask that our members participate in our chapter.

We just love the thrill of riding. Most of our trips will be local and/or contained to Vancouver Island, but we will try to plan a few rides during the season that take us off the Rock as well. We ride all makes and models of bike, so whether you're on a Harley, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki or any other street-legal motorcycle you will always be welcome in the SCRC. The cost for membership is FREE.
The club patch is optional and can be purchased (along with a good selection of
SCRC clothing and accessories) from the SCRC Online Store.

The SCRC is involved with charity fundraising rides, local and long distance rides, overnighters and daytrips, and of course the unknown rides which may lead us anywhere. We also promote Motorcycle and Public Safety rules and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will we be involved in any illegal activities.

In October of 2007, we agreed as a chapter to support a policy of no alcohol or drug consumption on chapter rides. This does not mean that we won't stop at a quality pub for a good meal (we all know that the best food and service is usually at a good pub), but it does mean that for the safety and well-being of the group, we have all agreed that we can enjoy each other's company just as much if we choose to consume coffee, tea or a soft drink instead of an alcoholic beverage. If you choose to drink, you are welcome to meet us at our next destination, but we request that you do not ride with the group.
